Hey GLUs! Welcome back to the Clique Book Club. This week, we discover what the title has been trying to tell us all along—it’s really not easy being mean. Mean takes work. It takes pain. It takes fear. And it certainly takes a toll. Let’s catch up.
The Pretty Committee—with the exception of Kristen—was kicked off the OCD soccer team. Thank gawd! Now that Massie can focus on the goals that really matter—FINDING THAT DAMN KEY.
Claire has had a makeover for a movie role she’s trying to book, and it worked! Hollywood loves her. But Westchester? Notsomuch.
Because she didn’t help the Pretty Committee hunt for the key at Cam’s house, Massie kicked her out of the group and uninvited her to all Friday Night Sleepovers. Kuh-laire is devastated. And what does she do when she’s devastated? She turns to her one true friend, Layne Abley. And Layne does help her…
…FIND THE KEY UNDER CHRIS ABLEY’S BED!!!
Massie is furious that she wasn’t the first to find the key. And a little afraid for her future. How’s she going to access the secret eighth-grade room now that she ousted Kuh-laire from the group?
Let’s discuss.
Claire cares more about her status in Westchester than her career in Hollywood. We get it. She wasn’t built for that. But was Massie? How do you think she would have embraced life in Hollywood had she been the chosen one?
Claire, the key-keeper, could start her own clique and rid herself of Massie’s in-one-day-out-the-other brand of friendship forever. Instead, she sees this as an opportunity to win Massie back. Is she uncomfortable being a leader? Are some people meant to be alphas and others meant to be betas? Do social hierarchies exist for a reason?
Soccer has saved Kristen from so much unnecessary drama. What saves you?

LFG...
1. If Massie was given Claire's opportunity... She would've snatched that job offer and ran FAST. Massie is totally Hollywood material and I feel like she would've LOVED that lifestyle.
2. Sometimes I never understand why Claire is constantly trying to win Massie back but at the same time Claire sees a side of Massie that we don't really see. Massie is outstandingly confident which makes her a great leader, Claire is not a follower but prefers to stand back. Some people are just born leaders and others aren't. It's totally based on attitude and personality.
3. What saves me from drama? Nothing specific, I just stay back and say NUH-THING. I love my peace way too much to give it up but honestly I am at the point of my life where drama doesn't exist to me anymore because I surround myself with mature people (and if someone wants to start something, trust me, they are QUICKLY shutdown).
Also! I am new to blogger and I'm looking for other blogs to read!

3. Honestly, the thing that saves me. Aside from simply observing the drama is music, I can selectively tune it in or out
