2025 Mood Boards - Pretty Committee Edition
Featuring Guest Contributor and GLU, Olivia Scott!
Hi!
In between my re-readings of The Clique books, I would scroll through Pinterest and couldn’t help but think “that’s such a Massie outfit”.
From there, my Mood Boards began. This is a collection of how I envision our favorite Pretty Committee members in 2025.
Massie Block:
We get the most details about Massie’s style. It’s ornate with luxurious fabrics and metallic accents. In addition to her beloved purple, I incorporated other jewel-tones that’ll look stunning with her glossy dark hair and amber eyes.
Featuring: lip gloss options, purple touches, repurposed brooches, weaponized self-help, and the softest cashmere outside of the Mongolian steppes.
Signature Scent: Chanel no. 19 will always have her heart, and she’ll always have dibs. However, since being in London she’s been loving Penhaligon’s Bluebell.
Claire Lyons:
There’s a familiarity and nostalgia to Claire. She’s reminiscent of the kid in all of us. Her style is comfy and colorful with affordable makeup and friendship bracelets. I really liked the location of some of the photos, a school bathroom, convenience store, parking lot etc., it emphasizes the casual easy-going girl next door vibe. There’s some reminders to hold your head high because what do Lyons do? Roar!
Featuring: cold weather gear (this isn’t Florida anymore), gummies, afternoons spending your allowance at the local strip mall, keds and Florence Pugh’s cheesy grin.
Signature Scent: Cloud by Ariana Grande, because she heard it was a dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540 (which Massie no longer wears because it’s become too “common”).
Alicia Rivera:
Alicia’s style is representative of her two homes, Westchester and Barcelona. It’s a little European quiet luxury and a little American East Coast prep (hello, Ralph Lauren), with some balletcore flourishes. Her style is more understated from years spent trying to de-emphasize her chest but after years she’s grown into her style and body.
Featuring: Shoes by Spanish designers she got with her cousins (Manolo, Castañer and Loewe), her dad’s AP royal oak, and journalism inspo to manifest her dream internship.
Signature Scent: Does anyone else remember Claire knowing Alicia was spying on her just from the scent of Mugler’s Angel? Absolutely iconic to rock that as a preteen. I picked Oud Satin Mood by Maison Francis Kurkdjian for a powerful sultry scent that’ll linger long after you’ve abandoned your hiding space.
Dylan Marvil:
Dylan’s a bit more funky than the other girls. She’s always stood out thanks to her big personality and matching hair, so a beige aesthetic would just clash, spiritually. I imagine her raiding the closet from her mom’s talk show The Daily Grind to get the trendiest pieces, then blaming it on her sisters.
Featuring: Flowy fabrics, bold prints, curls and curves she’s learned to love through the years, and laughing with friends until your stomach hurts.
Signature Scent: Eden Juicy Apple from Kay Ali for a mouthwatering, refreshing yet playful scent.
Kristen Gregory:
I think of all the girls, Kristen best fits the “clean girl” aesthetic. Growing up playing sports and with a strict mom, she’s a seasoned pro at no-makeup makeup. As the only member of both the pretty committee and the witty committee she knows that beauty can take you farther but you have to know how to use it.
Featuring: OCD-issued Nike bags, a throwback to her short hair era, schedules/organizational tools, and easy layers for a quick outfit change.
Signature Scent: Glossier’s You. It’s a “your skin but better” scent that can get you through school, practice and won’t offend your mother. Also, Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun, Retrospect by Merit and Missing Person by Phlur.
