So excited for this book! Probably my favorite book in the series.
1. If Claire’s poem doesn’t win Cam back, what should her next move be? Clearly, a straight-up apology hasn’t crossed her mind. Why? Claire should ask Cam to talk one-on-one, I think the problem is that they haven't talked about what happened. Obviously Cam hasn't been super willing to talk, but I think most of their problems in the last book stemmed from communication issues. I still find the poem really sweet tho!
2. Massie's keeping Claire's secret mostly for her own protection. I think she trusts Claire to keep her secret because she also knows Claire's biggest secret. If Claire told Massie's secret, she could easily tell Alicia about Josh.
3. 'd tell her to keep the advice relatively simple, because the more she says the more people can poke holes in her story.
This was such a great book 💕 3. I would tell her to not kiss and tell! Find some older friends with experience and bring them in as guest speakers instead of relying on her own experience to disguise the lack of it.
1. Maybe take a step back with Cam and gradually try to regain his trust? This strategy may take more time than what's left of the camping trip though.
1) Supposedly, time heals all wounds, but a middle school brain is not patient enough to consider that. Cam’s love language seems to be gift giving, so I see why Claire would think a poem would be a solid avenue to patch things up. Why would we ever just sit down and talk about our feelings face-to-face in middle school? 😅
2) The dynamics in TPC are always changing, and right now, Massie wants to be on top of the boy chain. She also likes the power that comes with holding on to info. If Claire does something that makes her mad, she can easily drop the bomb and watch the chaos unfold.
3) To be fair, I don’t think I could give Massie any advice in this arena. I’ve actually looked to her for faking it till you make it inspo - she’s the queen of it!
Hands down my fave book of the whole series!!!
me too!!!
