Happy Taylor Swift Day to all who celebrate! And to answer the question, no. I don’t think Massie Block would be a Swiftie.

However… as a Swiftie myself, I can’t help but think of The Pretty Committee and each of their TS Eras. I picked a favorite album and song from said album, for each member of The Pretty Committee.

Massie: REPUTATION

This is SO on the nose, but… come AWWWWN! Massie would not be a Swiftie with the EXCEPTION of Reputation. It has MB written all. over. it.

I mean, puh-lease. Massie Block is the Queen of resilience and revenge, for the sake of her own reputation.

Claire: LOVER

One of the central themes of Lover is definitely, yes; being in love. But also, the fear that comes with that. Fear of attachment, and having your heart broken. As light and romantic as Lover is, here’s a lot of anticipating the worst. Kuh-laire is always prepping for the rug to be pulled out from underneath her, and I think that definitely translated into her adult life and relationships.

Alicia: 1989

Alicia is undoubtedly the most fun loving and boy-crazy of the group. When I think of Alicia, I really do think “pop princess”. 1989, is the embodiment of all things youth, romance, style, and glamour. Just like Alicia. Equating a romantic relationship to STYLE? Hola, Miss Rivera.

Dylan: RED

Red is SO DYLAN! Messy heartbreak, wild nights out with friends, on and off relationships… Dylan is impulsive and lives with her heart on her sleeve, but doesn’t take herself too seriously.

“It feels like a perfect night, to dress up like hipsters and make fun of our exes.”

Kristen: FOLKLORE

So many songs on Folklore are about trial and error, imposter syndrome, and isolation. Being the only scholarship student in The Pretty Committee, I feel like Kristen would find the most resonance with Folklore. Kristen always works extremely hard in all things like school and soccer; but, she also works tirelessly to keep up with the rest of the girls, and that can feel really lonely at times.

Favorite Song: Mirrorball
