Dearest GLUs,
We’d normally begin by saying we wish you were in Austin with us, but you were, so no need. While we discussed Massie’s sex life, bonded over IBS, antiqued, ate, ate, ate, cackled at a woman who went to the bathroom and covered her drink with a napkin and readers, sang MMMbop in the car, bonded over morning coffee, and raced to a fancy pharmacy to buy Pepcid, you were there. Which is probably why we didn’t end up recording half as much as we intended. Not only were we in the moment (look it up, Gen Z), but we felt like all of us were together. That’s the thing about our GLU community—we are like the sun: even when you can’t see us, we’re together. Lofty and self-important? Perhaps. We’re that too.
Enjoy our recap. More to come after Labor Day.
