Social media definitely shifted friendship rules and girl code for me…especially in the mid to late 2000s. Idk if either of you remember Ask.fm, Formspring, or even Curious Cat, but those anonymous Q&A profiles were wild. Things got real bad real quick once “honesty hour” started popping up on everyone’s Facebook status with the link attached. It was always someone from your own friend group picking apart your insecurities.
That whole cyber-bullying era really shaped my personal girl code. I’m with y’all on the no gossiping or talking behind anyone’s back, EVER. It wasn’t cute then and it’s not cute now.

So I met my now fiancé on Hot or Not 😂 It was 2014 and we used to say we met through mutual friends because we were from the same hometown and dating apps were taboo. I wish the app was still around so they could sponsor our wedding lol
